- Born Carrie Marie Underwood on March 10, 1983, in Muskogee, Oklahoma
- An "American Idol" alum, Carrie Underwood's "Inside Your Heaven" raced to No. 1 on the charts in 2005. Her debut album, Some Hearts, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 that same year.
- Underwood won her first career GRAMMYs for 2006 at the 49th GRAMMY Awards, taking home Best New Artist and Best Female Vocal Country Performance for "Jesus, Take The Wheel." She made her GRAMMY stage debut at the 49th GRAMMY Awards, singing a country medley with Rascal Flatts.
- Did you know? Thanks to her time on "American Idol," Underwood received college credit toward her communications degree she later completed at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.
- Underwood performed at a private house concert in Nashville in 2015, which raised proceeds for MusiCares, the Recording Academy's health and human services charity.
- In 2009 she established the C.A.T.S. Foundation in her Oklahoma hometown to support the community, including funds for music education, updated technology in schools and a new animal shelter.
